DRY ZONE BOTANIC GARDEN

 This is located in mirijawila in the Hambantota district. It is located facing the Colombo-katharagama main road. It is spread over an area of 300 acres. the uniqueness of this place is that you can see a lot of plants endemic to the dry zone. in addition, wet intermediate zone plants can be seen here. the park has some unique features that have made it a tourist attraction     1 . MALITHAN TREE TUNNEL It is so named because it is a tunnel coved with malithan trees planted on both sides of the access road.    2. BULU ROAD On both sides of this road whole plants of very rare and ayurvedic value have been planted.   3. CACTUS GARDEN It can be called a plant endemic to the dry zone. It is unique for the environment as well as for various reasons.    1. MATTALA RAJAPAKSA  AIRPORT Mattala Rajapaksa Airport is the second international airport in Sri Lanka.
